With over 17 years of experience, Sharmila focuses on the areas of family law and immigration in her practice. Her clientele include a diverse base of people with various issues that sometimes overlap her practice areas, giving her an extensive background in dealing with complex cases.

Sharmila represents clients in the counties of Gwinnett, Cobb, Fulton, Forsyth, Dekalb, Clayton, Douglas, and Hall, and represents clients before Superior Court, the United States Immigration and Citizenship Services, and immigration court. Her knowledge of the judicial system in various counties of Metro Atlanta allows her to deal confidently with opposing attorneys, judges, and mediators. A native of Savannah, Sharmila received her bachelor's degree from Emory University and her law degree from Georgia State University Law School. She was admitted to the bar in 1993. Sharmila is a member of the Georgia Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Prior to opening her own practice, she worked for private law firms and the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services.
